The object
Tension is the smallest top in the house and one of the most exact. Two narrow ties rise from a deep V and meet behind the neck; doubled straps cross the open back and pull the rib knit into a clean, held plane. The body ends above the natural waist so the proportion is all torso and uninterrupted line. Dense fine rib keeps the surface matte, opaque, and tactile in hard California light. At the wearer's-left hem, the circular two-slab A is embroidered in tonal satin thread — raised enough to catch a fingertip, quiet enough to disappear at distance. Ice blue is the first color, cool against black leather; optic white is the permanent counterpoint. No cups, no metal, no printed mark. Just tension, contour, and the two lines doing the work.
