The object
Awning takes the peplum proportion of the early 2000s and removes almost everything beneath it. Dense matte gabardine sits in a shallow V across the hip bones, stays exact through the high hip, then releases into one tiny flare — an overhang, not a ruffle. The hem is extremely short but clean-finished and fully lined; the only closure is a concealed side zip. There are no pockets, belt loops, plaques or decorative seams to interrupt the line. At the wearer's-left rear waistband, one exact circular two-slab A is embroidered in tonal thread from the approved house artwork. Black is permanent; optic white is the color edition. It is the smallest tailored object in the house and one of the most deliberate.
